The Problem and the Solution

Many Americans struggle with financial literacy, often feeling overwhelmed or intimidated by terms like "investments" and "the stock market." This lack of knowledge can lead to missed opportunities for building wealth, inefficient debt management, and unnecessary financial stress.

To address this gap, I designed an interactive, mobile-optimized eLearning module aimed at helping users prioritize and manage their money. The experience begins with a quiz to assess current financial habits, providing personalized recommendations on how to allocate funds toward retirement, debt reduction, emergency savings, and investments. Clear explanations of key financial concepts like 401(k)s, HSAs, and Roth IRAs simplify these topics, empowering users to take actionable steps toward improving their financial health and building wealth over time.

Results

Since this project was conceptual, formal results and data collection were not possible. However, if implemented, success could be measured through follow-up surveys or assessments to track users' financial behaviors, such as increased retirement contributions, progress in paying off high-interest debt, or starting an emergency fund. Informal feedback and user engagement would also provide insights into the module's effectiveness. Ideally, pairing this learning experience with additional resources, like a financial chatbot, would enhance its value and ensure ongoing support for learners. The project was designed to be accessible, engaging, and practical, with the goal of helping users make more informed financial decisions.
