The Problem and the Solution
Many professionals struggle with effectively using digital tools and strategies to enhance productivity and collaboration in remote or hybrid settings. While the transition to remote work was abrupt for many in 2020, few have systematically analyzed or improved their work habits for long-term success. This lack of adaptation often leads to decreased efficiency, communication breakdowns, and poor well-being.
I developed an eLearning module that provides remote workers with an interactive, systematic approach to improving productivity and collaboration in remote and hybrid settings. The module introduces key tools and strategies, encourages self-reflection on current work habits, and offers real-life simulations for applying the concepts. It focuses on empowering learners to make intentional changes to how they work remotely to improve efficiency and well-being.
Design and Development Process
Adopting an agile approach, I began by creating an overall style guide, defining color schemes, fonts, and structure. The module was divided into three main parts: strategies, tools, and practice. I used Articulate Storyline 360 to build and iterate on content, creating engaging interactions such as simulations of messaging conversations. Visuals were sourced and refined using Adobe Illustrator to maintain consistency and clarity throughout the module.

Results
Since this is a concept project, I haven’t been able to track formal metrics on learner behavior or performance post-training. However, in a real-world setting, I would evaluate effectiveness through surveys, interviews, and potentially observing behavior changes in remote workers. Key indicators would include changes in work habits, stress levels, productivity, and retention rates among remote workers. Feedback from colleagues has been positive, with many noting how the module’s interactive design and practical approach resonated with them.
